Hello

안녕하세요

After quiting my job in March 2024, I decided to pursue new hobbies whilst job searching. I carved my first piece in June and six months later I received my first commission, from then on I decided to pursue it full-time.

The thing I love about my craft is that it’s constantly evolving. My desire is to be a complete sculptor where I am not limited by my understanding of materials whether it’s wood, metal, or ceramics. This desire for versitility is what pushes me to keep learning and improving. I’m very grateful for the artists around me that continue to make me better and further my skillset.

Alongside commissions I now teach introductory wood carving classes to help support my journey as a sculptor. Since then I have also expanded to ceramic sculptures through a work-exchange program at a local ceramics studio in Twickenham.

“Luke’s workshop was a joy and I would definitely recommend it to others! Luke is not only an excellent teacher but also accommodating, engaging and funny which made the space perfect for learning a new skill I hadn’t tried before.”

"I really enjoyed Luke’s workshop. I’m not naturally a very creative person, but this experience was really beginner friendly. Luke gave me guidance and advice, but also allowed me to work on skills I’d learnt. Luke is a great teacher and person, highly recommended."

“Our wood carving session with Luke was a unique and special experience. He is great at showing you how to carve and made us all (young and old!) feel capable. It was a lot of fun and quite meditative too, we’ll definitely be back!”
